Hi there, @drolle.

 

We offer different ways to contact QuickBooks Online (QBO) Support. There is an option to chat or get a callback from an agent that is available during specific hours.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help icon in the upper right of the screen.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter Support in the What can we help you with? field and choose Let's talk.
  4. From here, you can select to receive a callback at a time that's convenient for you.

The Gear icon is located in the upper right-hand corner of your QuickBooks Online account. Please see this sample screenshot for a visual guide:

 

 

If you're using the desktop version of QuickBooks, you can follow the steps below. Before doing so, please check out our support hours here: Support hours and types.

 

  1. Click Help located at the top.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Enter a brief description of your issue and click Continue.
  4. You can choose Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist.

Thanks so much for the information.  I have already tryed this way with no luck, but I will try again.  I have been at this since 5:00AM and now have indegestin so bad I'm going to stop for awhile.

received email that I requested my account to be closed. I did not and want to make sure it isn't. bought quick books 2020 from amazon and just got it installed last week with records all in tack by help of quickbooks. at that time they took updated credit card information. I believe at end of this month is when It should be renewed.   Saturday I received email that I had requested cancellation.  please advise

From there, they can securely pull up and check your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and verify the legitimacy of the email you received. You can follow these steps to contact them.

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter receive an email that I requested to cancel my account in the dialog box, and click Let's talk.
  4. You can either choose to Start a message or Get a callback to get a representative on the line.
  5. Enter the needed information.

I need to renew my payroll subscription and it is is in account recovery mode and will not let me proceed with updating credit card information.

I'll provide steps on how you can update the bank information for your payroll subscription, Nuno Iron.

 

If you're subscribed to the QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced, you can follow the steps below. Please make sure that you are signed in as the Master Admin or Company Admin to see the Billing & Subscription tab.

 

Here are the steps:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online company, go to the Gear Account and Settings.
  2. On the left panel, click Billing & Subscription.
  3. In the Payroll section, select Resubscribe.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete your payroll renewal.

If you've purchased your QuickBooks Online from your Accountant, I recommend reaching out to your Accountant and work with them to restart your payroll subscription.

Otherwise, reach out to our Payroll Support Team to further assist you in updating the credit card information. Before doing so, please check our support hours here. Then, follow these steps:

If you have the new QuickBooks Assistant help update, you can follow these steps:

  4. Click the Contact us link.
  5. Select either Start messaging or Get a call.

Let's get rid of the error code so  you can continue updating the payroll in QuickBooks Desktop, nancy12341.

 

The corrupted QuickBooks company file is one of the reasons why you encounter this error. To resolve this issue, you need to repair the damaged data by running the verify and rebuild utility tools.

 

If the same issue persists, your internet connection is maybe interrupted or the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer is outdated. You need to upgrade the browser to the newest version.

 

Once done, check your internet connection settings. It could be the source of the update issue. Here are the steps you can follow:

 

  1. From the Help menu, select Internet Connection Setup.
  2. Select Use my computer's Internet connection settings to establish a connection when this application accesses the Internet.
  3. Click Next.

  4. Choose Advanced Connection Settings.
  5. On the Advanced tab, select Restore Advanced Settings.
  6. Select Ok, then Done.
  7. Update the tax table again.
