Welcome to the Community, @david136.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO). if a contractor was added through invitation, the ability to edit their email address is unavailable. You can have them visit https://accounts.intuit.com to update it.
Here's how:
- Go to https://accounts.intuit.com/, then proceed to the Sign In & Security part.
- Click the Edit link beside the Email address. and enter the correct information.
- Once done, hit Save.
For further guidance, consider checking out this article: How to Set Up a Contractor in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, if you're the one who enters the contractor's information in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you should be able to edit his/her email.
To isolate this, try logging into your QBO using a private browser (incognito). There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, causing some unusual responses.
Here's how:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
- Control + Option + P (Safari).
Once signed in, go back and change their email address.
If it works, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.
