I need to change the pay period so checks are direct deposited friday. System pushed them out a week?

I'm here to help you change the pay period in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Let's begin:

  1. Go to the Employees menu, then Payroll Center.
  2. Under the Create Paychecks table, select the payroll schedule you want to update.
  3. From the Payroll Schedules drop-down, press Edit Schedule.
  4. Make the necessary updates in the Edit Payroll Schedule window.
    • Note: When you see the warning, choose Yes to update the payroll schedule for all the employees assigned to it.
  5. Hit OK.
