I need to delete an employee but it is showing they have a paycheck. I have tried all the suggestions to delete the check but it is not giving me the option to delete.

I need to delete an employee but it is showing they have a paycheck. I have tried all the suggestions to delete the check but it is not giving me the option to delete.

Welcome to the Community. I'm here to lend a hand with deleting a check in QuickBooks Online.

 

There are a couple of reasons for why you may not have the option to delete a paycheck. Just to confirm, is this check a direct deposit or an adjustment? If it is direct deposit, a user will only have the option to void it. Should the paycheck be an adjustment for taxes, there won't be an option to void or delete it. Here's how to verify if it's an adjustment check:

 

  1. Select Workers on the left and choose Employees.
  2. Click Paycheck list.
  3. Modify the date range so that it includes the check.
  4. Click Show tax adjustment checks.
  5. Verify if Pay Method contains Adjustment.
