Yes, we can batch inactivate accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Eddie. You can make up to 300 accounts inactive at a time. Let me guide you through the process of achieving your goal.
To begin, let’s adjust the Page Size in the Chart of accounts to facilitate a more manageable view of your accounts.
- Navigate to Transactions, then Chart of accounts.
- Click the mini Gear icon and select 300 as the Page Size.

Once done, we can proceed to inactivate accounts you no longer plan to use:
- On the Chart of accounts page, check the boxes next to the accounts you want to inactivate.
- Click the Batch actions dropdown button.
- Hit Make inactive.

After that, let's move to the next page and repeat the process for the remaining accounts.
