You can only purge the account if it is active for less than 60 days. Please see this article: Deleting online data and starting over. If you're getting an error when creating a new account, you can try following these steps:
- Go to quickbooks.intuit.com/signup/.
- Choose the plan and select the Free trial for 30 days or Buy now option.
- Under the Sign Up With Email button, click the Sign in link beside Adding a company to an existing account?.
- Fill in the Email address and Password.
- Click Sign In.
- Enter your business information and click Next.
- Select the features under What would you like to do in QuickBooks?, and click Next.
- Click All Set.
