I need to split past entries into different catagories. A situation has arisen where I need to rearrange alrady entered data into new splits.

I have a unique situation where I need to split some entries into different accounts. Not sure what to call my problem. Is it possible to create tags for some entries without actually redoing all the accounts? I apologize. I am not explaining this well. I have been using Quickbooks for years. A business has 2 separate bank accounts. The funds are comingled and bills have been paid out of both accounts. I need to tag some of the entries to be spilt for tax purposes. This involves both income and expense accounts, but not for the entire year.

If you are trying to report on transactions, that is what class is for, see help class it is one of the better explanations

otherwise you are going to have to be more specific and provide an example of what you are wanting
