Then you simply go into your Chart of Accounts, Click on the Action Drop-down menu and click on Make Inactive. It may say "Delete" in QBO, but that's okay, you're not really deleting it. You're just making the file Inactive (aka Hiding it).
Regardless if you make the old car Inactive now or you wait to talk to your Accountant. Go ahead and create a New Asset Acct just like the old car and put in the info for the new car. Set the date for when you purchased the car.

Deleting an old vehicle that has been added to your QuickBooks Self Employed account is currently unavailable. You can only enter and update your vehicle info in the system to track your taxes accurately.
However, you have the option to exclude the vehicle expenses from your taxes. To do this, I suggest ensuring that you don't have transactions categorized under the Schedule C car and truck. If there's any, you'll need to change the category to the correct one. I suggest consulting an accountant before performing the process. They can provide suggestions on how to properly handle the entry, especially with the category to use for vehicle transactions.
