Consider using a 3rd party manufactruing app and integrate it with your QBO.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I am really hoping that QB can accomplish this without me needing to spend more money and start integrating other software.

Converting your raw materials inventory into finished goods is only available in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Feel free to read through this article for more details: Combine your inventory items to build finished goods.

Since you're using the online version of QuickBooks, below are the four types of products/services you can setup:

• Inventory: Products you sell and track quantities for. Inventory features are available for QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. Here's how to turn on and use inventory features.
• Non-inventory: Products or items you buy or sell, but don't need to track quantities. For example, nuts and bolts you use for installation jobs but don't sell directly.
• Services: Services you provide to customers.
• Bundle: Several products or services you sell together as a single item. For example, a gift basket.

The Add product and service items link will tell you more about setting up what you buy and sell in QuickBooks Online.

You can look for a manufacturing app as mentioned by @Fiat Lux - ASIA in this thread. Otherwise, you may switch over to QBDT so you can use the assembly feature without speeding more money. You need QuickBooks Desktop Premier version (or Enterprise version) to convert raw materials into finished good inventory as you want. QBO is not designed for such a WIP process. So, I would waste my money paying for the 3rd-party app. It's expensive and will not work efficiently in most cases.

Where is your company located?

You can use QB Desktop (Pro/Premier/Enterprise) US version in your country for sure. You have to call their sales team in the US to purchase the license. Another option, you can purchase it through a select partner without a credit card.

We operate in the Philippines and is currently using QBO. I am currently trying to purchase QBDT in order to be able to use the raw materials inventory to finish goods function but the only option here is for US only.

Intuit only offers QB Desktop US and Canadian version.

You will need to purchase a 3rd party service to convert data from QB Online Global version to QB Desktop US version.
