If all the bank transactions did not transfer into QB reconciliation screen then what should I do to get them there. They are on the actual bank statement.

All my bank transactions did not download into QB.  What should I do?

Welcome to the Community, Roxann!

I'm happy to share with you the steps in getting the transactions from your bank statements by manually importing them into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First, let's select a start date so we'll know the date of the oldest existing transaction and avoid duplicates. To do that:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the bank account you want to upload the transactions into and select View register.
  3. Search and write down the date of the oldest transaction. In most cases, the oldest transaction is the opening balance.

Next, let's get transactions from your bank by signing in to your bank's website. Follow the bank's instructions in downloading CSV files of your transactions. Then, the date range should be at least one day before the date of the oldest transaction and save the file.

Once done, let's review if the file is in the correct format and size before uploading it. Please note that 350 KB is the maximum file size. If your file is too big, shorten the date range and download transactions in smaller batches.

We can now upload the transactions manually in QBO. To do that, please refer to Step 4 in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

After we've successfully imported the transactions, we can match and categorize them so we can review them and place them in the correct accounts.

Lastly, let's reconcile the account to ensure that your books are accurate and matched with your bank statement.

If you have further clarifications about importing transactions to QBO, please leave a reply in the comment section below. We'll make sure to attend to your every concern. Stay safe!
