Hi there, @pineridgetoursll.

If you're referring to the description field on a service item, you can edit this to add a dollar amount. I’ll show you how to do it.

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Choose Products and Services.
  3. Select the product or service you want to change.
  4. Click Edit in the Action column.
  5. On the Description field, add the dollar amount and make your changes.
  6. Select Save and close when you're done.

However, if you're trying to add a dollar amount in the Sales price/rate field, you don't have to. QuickBooks will automatically read the entered amount as a dollar.

For your reference, I'm adding this article on making changes to any of your product or service items in QuickBooks: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online

Please know I'm always here to help and make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.
