If I use QB to send Sales Receipt and the customer does not have a valid email, will I get notified if it is rejected?

Not all my customers have a valid email, we submit a bogus email because an email required to process an order. I want to know which ones are bad so I can print and mail those invoices.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page. I can share with you some insights about sending sales receipts to customers from QuickBooks Online.

 

Getting notifications of undelivered forms is currently unavailable. The good news is, you may ask your customers who among them don't receive one, or manually review the sales receipts with fake emails from the Audit History. Then, print them.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Audit Log under Tools.
  2. Look for the emailed sales receipts, then click on View under History to open the transaction details.
  3. Check out the email address added on the form. If it's the bogus one, click on the Sales Receipt No. link to open the transaction.
  4. If you want to print the transaction, click on the Print or Preview tab.

If you want to charge a customer at a given period, you can set up a recurring statement in QuickBooks. You can use this link as your guide.

Thanks for joining this thread, @Cynthia IH1995.

 

Once you create a sales receipt, you have an option not to enter the email address unless you want it to send this out to your customer. Also, just make sure to click the Save or Save and Close button when saving it. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. Select + New in the upper left corner.
  2. Choose Sales receipt.
  3. Select the customer from the Customer dropdown. 
  4. Enter the sales info, such as the payment method.
  5. Enter line items for the products and services you sold.
  6.  Click Save or Save and Close.
