If your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription is either Plus or Advanced, you can import your budget data, but only in .xlsx format, Michael. With this in mind, I suggest converting your budget data from CSV format to .xlsx format using third-party software. Once converted, you can then bring it into your QBO (Plus or Advanced). Let me show you how to do it.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon located at the top right corner.
- Under the TOOLS column, select the Budgeting option.

- From the Budgets section, click Import budget.

- Choose the appropriate date range from the Select time period dropdown.
- Tick either the Consolidate or Subdivided option under Budget format. Optionally, you can select from the Pre-fill data dropdown.
- Choose the Next or Skip option (Skip if you've already placed your budget onto our template).

- Locate your budget data in .xlsx format on your computer, then hit Upload budget and click Next to proceed.

Alternatively, with an Advanced or Accountant subscription, you can import your data using Spreadsheet Sync. Below are helpful articles to learn more about Spreadsheet Sync:
