import file

I have a file exported from a desktop version of Quickbooks and then sent to us by our other employee.  Is there a way I can import that data into Intuit quickbooks to see the information? or do  I have to buy the desktop version.

Also, Is there an easier way to convert the quickbook file to excel to upload into my intuit quickbooks?

Please help!

You can download the trial version of QuickBooks Desktop by going to this link: Once done, you can follow these steps to convert the file to QuickBooks Online:

  1. Open the file you want to export.
  2. Click Company located at the top, and select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect to QuickBooks Online.
