Importing & Exporting Data

Hi there, 1231 4595 0509 649.

In QuickBooks Online, you can use the Export Data feature to get the information.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Under Tools, click Export Data.
  3. Select the option why you are exporting the data, and click Continue.
  4. From the Export Data window, you can click the Reports tab and choose the date from the drop-down list. You can also click Lists tab to export customers, employees and vendors.
  5. Click Export to Excel.

Once done, you can wipe all your data if you are subscribed in QuickBooks Online within 60 days. Please see this article for deleting online data and starting over.

To import your file, you can search for a third-party application by following these steps:

  1. On the left panel, click Apps.
  2. From the Find Apps section, click the Browse category drop-down menu.
  3. Choose Data Sync and look for an app that can import transactions from an Excel file.
  4. Click the app for more details.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions. Thanks.

Importing & Exporting Data

I asked about exporting data to a file to a version that I can import into Quicken Home and Business.  So far my question has not been answered.

Importing & Exporting Data

Hi there, iHateQuackBooks.

Allow me to help share some information about exporting QuickBooks Online data file to be able to import to Quicken.

To get started, to export QBO data file, you can follow the steps provided by my colleague RenjolynC.

Keep in mind that Quicken cannot import Excel (.xls), CSV, QuickBooks, PDF, or OFX files. Quicken allows you to import data from selected financial institutions, applications, and other versions of Quicken. With this being said, you'll need to convert your QBO data file to the file format accepted by Quicken. Once done, you can now import your data to Quicken.

To give you more of an idea about this process, you can read this great resource: How do I import data into Quicken for Windows?.

For additional reference, you may find this article helpful in the future: Convert a Quicken file into a QuickBooks Online company file.
