Hello there, @Cooper.

I'd like to help and address your concern right away. Can you specify what pop-pups your referring to? I'd appreciate additional details.

Also, customer information entered in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account isn't private data. This way, you can easily see your customer information.

However, you can set them private to other users in your QBO account. you can check this article to learn how to change and manage access users in QBO: Add, delete, or change user access.

Also, in case you want to restore or merge your customer in QBO, check this helpful article for the details: Manage your customer list.

Do get back to us if you have other concerns. Our door is always open for you. Have a great day and more success in your business!

I understand that my customer information is not private within my account, but I am able to see mailing addresses and phone numbers for other people's customers.  These entities have no connection to my account, QB suggests their names when I am editing the "Company" name within the "Customer information" window.  See the attached screenshot for an example of this.  Some of this information may already be available online, but I'm sure that some of these accounts are for individuals who would take exception to someone being able to acquire their home addresses and phone numbers using QB as a search engine.

I appreciate the screenshot, @Cooper.

Let me share some information about the companies you're seeing within your account.

Yes, they are considered private customer information but they are also suggested companies that can be found public in other search engine sites. Currently, we don't have an option to keep it hidden when entering your customer details in QuickBooks.

Thank you for voicing out your concern regarding this matter. I'll be sure to send feedback about this to our Product Team so they can check this on their end.

Please feel free to visit our QuickBooks Online Blog as well to get the latest news and updates about QBO.

I'll be around if you need help with anything else. Have a fantastic day!
