Hi there, @accounting440.

You may want to check the Company address if it's within the United States. If it's affirmative, you are using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) US version. If you think you're using the wrong version, you may check out the country of the plan before subscribing here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/. Click on what country you'd like to use and then choose the plan that fits your business.

You can cancel the subscription you're using if it's not the correct version your using. Then, subscribe to the correct one.

You've mentioned that you're using international sales tax, you may also check out your other subscription. There's a possibility that it's was inactive and just need to resubscribe from the old subscription before the current one.

I've added this reference page that can be hand on your future tasks: QuickBooks Online Help Articles.

Please don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section. I'd be glad to help you further. Take care.

Reply from   QuickBooks Team doesn't help at all, and seems to be an advertisement to upgrade Quickbooks online.  There has been a mistake made by the software engineers at Quickbooks that caused my international sales tax rates on invoices (AP) to be unavailable, supposedly they're working on a fix.  First I was told it would be fixed by 11/4/20, then by 11/11/20 but still NOT FIXED!  Is there a workaround so I can invoice my customers outside the USA?

This isn’t the kind of service I want you to experience, @accounting440.

Rest assured our engineering team is all hands to fix this as soon as possible.

For now, I’d recommend checking back with them. I understand you’ve already contacted them. However, it would be best to get in touch with them again. There, they can further look into your account and provide you with the best workaround.

Before contacting them, ensure to prepare your case no. provided by one of our agents in your previous session. This way, they can easily trace and review your case. Nevertheless, here’s how to reach out to them in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:

  1. Go to the (?) Help icon.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  4. Then choose your preferred way to connect with us.

You can also refer to this article for more details: QuickBooks Online Support.

Let me also add this article that can guide how to set up your account to calculate your sales tax automatically: Set up and use automated sales tax in QuickBooks Online.

I appreciate your patience while we’re working to fix this. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with your QBO account. I’d me be more than happy to back you up.

Did this problem ever get resolved. Its frustrating that I can't show my international customers the break down of taxes and shipping. I have to either make it a misc. charge in a line item or lump it in with the shipping cost and then explain to them the break down. This is wasting so much time.
