Inventory Stock Status by Site not working for On PO field

The reports...

Inventory Stock Status by Item

and

Inventory Stock Status by Site

both have a column for "On PO"

We have QB enterprise with enhanced inventory (enabled)

The On PO shows proper values as you would expect in the "by Item" version of the report.

But in the "by Site" version of the repot, the On PO column only shows 0 in that report regard of items being on a PO.

This seems like either

A) It's an error and oversite by designers AND the column should not actually by on this report, because there is not a way to specify on a PO a site for a "item" . That only is done on an Item Receipt form. Of course once it is received, the On PO column wouldn't matter anymore.

B) Or There is a way on a PO to specify a site for an item and for some reason I can't see how to do this. It does not appear to be a column that can be added the the PO form template.

C) I'm missing something entirely different

I'm hoping the answer is B or C, but sadly frustrated the answer is probably A.

Does anyone know if there is a way do get this working on the Inventory Stock Status by Site report?

Or another way?

Thanks for your feedback with the inventory report, @rose1776,

I'd like to share some insights about this limitation. The Inventory Stock Status by Site report will show the current inventory quantities and values per site.

This means that only transactions that affects inventory will be counted there. A purchase order is a non-posting transaction, so any items added therein, as long as it is not yet billed will change the inventory count.

This explains why the On PO column is empty.

If you want to track items on a purchase order, you will need to use a different report for it.

I recently ran into this myself.

I'll be providing feedback as well as we use sites to classify inventory.

As a work around, I took the Inventory Stock Status by Item and filtered it to the items in that site.

This is frustrating. It would be nice to associate the items on a Purchase Order with a specific site. Then the report data would be accurate.
