Invoice function not working online or via phone app

Before doing so, can you tell me whether you can open the feature? Did you receive any error messages when creating or saving your invoice? Knowing these will help me provide you with an accurate resolution.

 

Meanwhile, let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue. We can start by accessing your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to save time:
 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

 

If the invoice functions as expected using an incognito, that's good news. You can return to your regular browser and clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. Otherwise, you can try other supported browsers to help narrow down the cause of this behavior.


Also, we can clear your app data on your mobile device to refresh the system and rectify the common issues that cause the unusual behavior. Make sure first that your QBSE mobile app is updated, as well as your phone's operating system.

For the IOS version:

 

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. If you get a prompt message: "Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you can refresh it now. It may take a few minutes.”
  4. Click Refresh to confirm.

 

For Android:

 

  1. Go to the Menu icon, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

 

After that, restart your mobile phone then log back in. If you get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the QBSE mobile app.
