Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing different details on how your bank transactions work in QuickBooks and then make sure you can export your entries.
The downloaded data in QuickBooks Online depends on what your bank shares with us. With this, yes, you can export the Quickbooks - Business Checking transactions that appear on your bank statements. To accomplish this, I recommend contacting or asking your financial institution to export your bank statement entries so you can obtain a copy.
However, if your bank is linked to QuickBooks Online and you have already categorized your transactions, you can proceed to the Reports section. Then, run the Transaction Detail by Account report and customize it so you can begin exporting your entries by clicking the export icon.
Here's how:
Additionally, if you're referring to a QuickBooks Checking account from your QuickBooks Payments, you can open this article to see different details on how it works and move out or export the transactions: Use your QuickBooks Checking account.
Furthermore, if your ledger appears to be incorrect in QBO, you can compare it to your FI statement to determine the source of the error. However, in order to assist you further, may I request additional information or send a screenshot of your General Ledger register? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated so that I can provide accurate details or thoroughly investigate why the aforementioned register is incorrect.
Lastly, you can refer to this article for instructions on how to run various reports that provide a snapshot of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
Don't hesitate to comment below if you have other concerns related to QuickBooks transactions. I'm always around to help, cjocher-blueclou. Have a great day!
Hi ChristieAnn,
The checking account I am referring to is the QBO Green Dot bank checking account. The actual balance in the account and the bank statements are correct but the register for that account in QBO Chart of Accounts is not correct and I am unable to reconcile the register to the actual account/statement activity and I need to complete my corporate taxes. For now, I am just trying to get an export from that account in the same way I would get an export from a 3rd party account such as my Wells Fargo Business Checking account. The only data I seem to be able to export from QBO is the Chart of Accounts registers, which are not correct.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Craig
Hello there, @BlueCloudInnovation.
I'm here to share information about incorrect account registers in the Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The possible reason why the General Ledger account is incorrect is that there may be QuickBooks Checking transactions that were added but have existing matches in QuickBooks. Like transactions that are manually imported and added into the register but never match the existing records in QuickBooks.
To correct your register in the Chart of Accounts, you may have to compare your actual bank statement and your recorded transactions in QBO by manually reviewing them and locating entries that need to be edited.
Before doing so, you may need to have the bank statement of your QuickBooks Business Checking account to compare transactions. If you don't have it on hand, I recommend contacting Green Dot Bank to have a copy of your bank entries.
To review and edit transactions in the account registers, here's how:
Step 1: Find transactions
1. On your QBO account, click the Gear icon, then select Chart of Accounts (Take me there).
2. Find the account you want to review. Then, in the Action column, select View register.
3. Select the Filter icon, then choose the filters you want to apply. You can use the Find field to search by amount, reference number, or memo.
4. Click Apply.
5. To remove a filter, select the X next to the filter name. Or to clear all filters, select Clear filter / View All.
Step 2: Edit transactions
1. Locate and select the transaction in the account register to expand the view.
2. Make changes to the available fields.
3. If you want to change something In the grayed-out section, click Edit. This opens the full transaction from where you can make additional changes.
4. When you're ready, select Save or Save and close.
For detailed steps, kindly visit: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers in QuickBooks Online.
After reviewing and correcting incorrect registers, you can then proceed to export your account list from the Chart of Accounts and reconcile it.
Moreover, I'll also share this article that can serve as your reference to learn what to do if QuickBooks Online doesn't match your bank statement at the end of a reconciliation: Fix issues at the end of a reconciliation in QuickBooks Online.
I'm looking forward to getting this resolved. Feel free to leave a reply if you require further assistance with correcting your account registers in QBO. The Community team always has your back. Have a good one.
Thanks DHeraV for the instructions pertaining how to update the account register for my QBO checking account. I am planning to make those corrections after I complete my taxes. I still need an answer to my original question pertaining to how can I get an export from my QBO - QuickBooks Checking Account (Green Dot Account). That is the only answer I need for the moment.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Craig

Thanks for the reply. I was able to do a Cut/Paste from the QBO Business Checking page (page by page) to Excel. Not a very elegant solution but better than nothing.
