Is there a way for contractors to update the information they submitted on their W-9 after I've previously requested information from them via QBO?

I'm here to make sure contractors can update their W-9 details, @userjcatlanta-financ.

 

Yes, there's a way to update the submitted W-9 of your contractors. You can have them make the needed changes to their W-9 information. QuickBooks will automatically update their details in your QuickBooks Online account.

If their W-9 information doesn't sync, you can resend an invite to them. I know how to achieve this to get you back up.

 

To resend an invite:

 

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, and then choose Contractors.
  2. Select the contractor’s name.
  3. Click Send a reminder or Send email.

Once they receive the invitation, please have them fill out their W-9.

If you wish to view and download their W-9, you can go to the Documents tab (respective profile).
