Is there a way for me to see my billable expense information in my register?

Many (but not all) of my expenses are billable. It is time consuming to open each register item to see if it has been marked as billable and who it has been assigned to.

Is there a way for me to see my billable expense information in my register?

Hi there, becky222.

Currently, there's no option to show billable expense information in the QuickBooks register. You'll want to run the Unbilled Charges report to show all billable expenses. Then, customize it to display the details of who it has been assigned to.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Reports tab.
  2. Go to the search field and choose  Unbilled Charges.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. In the Rows/Column drop-down, select Customer and Vendor boxes.
  5. Go to the Filter drop-down. Then, tick Transaction Type and select Billable Expense Charge.
  6. Checkmark the Vendor and Customer and choose the specific vendor and customer from the drop-down list.
  7. Hit Run report.

Please note that the name that appears below the date column is the customer who been assigned to bill for this expense.
