We'll have to edit the Invoice template and uncheck the Estimate summary option. Then, we can edit the invoice to toggle it to the updated form style to refresh.

The Estimate summary will only show when we create an invoice out from the estimate and not when we email or print it. If you want to customize our forms further, you can check out this article for more details.

Hi Catherine_B
I don't have the "estimate summary" box option when I edit my estimate templates. Is there another way to remove the estimate summary from the body of the email? I want the estimate to only be an attachment
Hi @brrdg-21,
I appreciate you for joining the thread.
The steps provided by my peer @Catherine_B above are for an invoice template. As she stated, the Estimate summary field appears if you create an invoice from an estimate. With that said, you can see this option if you edit your invoice template, such as the Standard template. It's unavailable in your estimate templates.
On how you can add an estimate as an attachment to your invoice, follow these steps:
This will save a PDF copy of the estimate to your computer. You can proceed to open the invoice you want to send your customer and attach a PDF copy of the estimate.

Please, please, PLEASE, Intuit - update QBO to allow us to not show the estimate (details or summary) at the bottom of the email. It looks so tacky. I just spent so much time convincing a client to switch from Xero to QBO and because of the dated and unnecessary "details" at the bottom of the estimate email, they are highly unhappy. I can't blame them, it looks terrible. Instead of two radio button options to either send full or summary details, PLEASE give us an option to include "none" in the body of the email / attach PDF only!
