Hey there, @Justin-ipad.
As of now, there are only a few places you can upload attachments (like a PDF, an image, or a photo from your mobile device) into QuickBooks Online. Depending on where you want to post photos in Projects, there's going to be a little bit of limitation. If you leave me a Reply below with more details in what you're wanting, I'd be happy to assist you further! In the meantime, I can show you where you can bring in your photos:
Option 1: The Attachments Page
- Go to the Gear icon, then Attachments.
- Drag/Drop the files or click on the Paper Clip icon on the top-left of the box.
- Once uploaded, it'll appear in the uploaded area for your review.
- This window also has the following features:
-
- Batch Actions: Export and process transactions directly from this window
- Export: Click on the Batch Action drop-down menu and you'll see an option to export.
- Create Invoice or Create Expense: Click on the Batch Action drop-down menu and you'll see an option to create these transactions.
- Print: Print the list of the attachments in your file.
- Small Gear: Choose which columns are shown in this window.
- Action: You can Edit, Delete, or Create from the drop-down options in this column.
Option 2: Within A Transaction
- In the transaction window, scroll down to the bottom left-hand side. You'll see an Attachments field that you can drag/drop the attachment or you can click on Attachments.
- If you press on Show Existing, then it'll open the right-hand side drawer if you've previously uploaded the attachment. Just hit Add to bring this into your transaction.
Option 3: QuickBooks Online App
- Click on the blue + icon in the left-hand menu. This will bring up a page for a New Expense.
- Press on the Camera icon, then Take Photo or Choose Existing.
- Once completed, the information will automatically save to your QuickBooks Online file.
Let me know if this helps! I'll keep an eye out for your response.
