Is there any way to change the default view when viewing invoices - currently it defaults to oldest first

Good day, kim106.

Let me help you with your invoices.

We can sort them so you can see the latest invoices first. If you're in the customer's Transaction List or in the Invoices page, you can click on the Date column. Please refer to the screenshot below.date.PNG

If you're looking at a report, like an Invoice List, click on the Sort drop-down. Then, select the Descending order and click Run report.invoice list.PNG

I've added this link if you need a reference in customizing reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep your posts coming if you need more help. Have a great day and stay safe!

Thanks for the reply, yes I can view newest first by clicking the DATE, however, I'd like to change the DEFAULT view when opening the Invoices list, surely, when people are viewing invoices, they would want to see newest invoices first, rather than always having 2 or 3 year old invoices show up first on the list?

Thanks

Thanks for coming back, kim106.

The option to set the newest invoices on the Invoices page is unavailable. By default, QuickBooks Online (QBO) pulls data from the last 365 days in descending order .

As a workaround, just follow the steps provided by my colleague to sort the Date column to the latest invoice you created.
