There are times that local internet cache files stored in the browser can cause unexpected behavior in the product. This can be reason why you're getting the Something's not quite right error message when categorizing your transaction.

 

Let's run some basic troubleshooting steps to address this one. To start, sign in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private browser. This way, we can identify if the issue is browser-related.

 

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

 

Then, categorize again your utility expense. If the error message is gone, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Or else, use another supported browser instead. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.
