Join nowI use Quickbooks Desktop for my accounting but my accountant only uses Quickbooks Online.
Is there a way for me to be able to send my desktop files to him so that he can review them? I do not want to switch to online Quickbooks.
Help please.
Is your accountant using the Mac? He can utilize the trial version for the time being or purchase a license to work longer.
Hi there, Gds37.
Thanks for reaching out for support here in the Community. I'd be glad to provide some info regarding your question about sharing QuickBooks Desktop data with your accountant.
There's always the option to download a backup copy of your file and send that to your accountant for review. The downside is that your accountant wouldn't have access to any accountant tools while viewing the file. Additionally, they may not be familiar with the Mac Desktop version of the software as the Online platform is quite different.
QuickBooks Online doesn't currently have the option to open Desktop data directly in the system. I recommend sending feedback to let the Product Development Team know you'd like to have more options available for data sharing. This can be done by clicking the Help tab, then Send Feedback Online.
Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions. I and the rest of the Community have your back!
