Join nowI have 1250 Memorized Tranactions in QB. HOA monthly dues. I need them to travel to calss administration. Can I do this in a batch? or do I have to enter new memorized for each account?
Hi there, @LakeLimerick.
It's nice to have you in the Community. I can help you with your memorized transactions in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
To ensure that I'm on the same page, may I know what you mean by "I need them to travel to class administration"? Are you trying to change the class or an account within the memorized transaction? If so, at this time QBDT doesn't have the option to do so by batch. You can either edit them one at a time or enter new memorized transactions for each account. Here's how:
To edit or update:
1. Go to Lists menu a the top, then pick Memorized Transaction List at the drop-down.
2. Locate and double-click the one you want to modify, then Save & Close or Save & Next to enter the memorized transaction now.
To create a new one:
1. Enter the transaction the way you want it memorized. Do NOT click save.
2. Go to the Edit menu at the upper left, then pick Memorize [Transaction] on the drop-down.
3. Enter a Name, then specify how you want QuickBooks to handle the transaction.
4. Enter any other necessary information, then click OK and Save & Close or Save & Next.
For future reference, you can also check out this article for future reference: Memorize transactions to save time.
That should get you pointed in the right direction. Please let me know how it goes or if you're referring to something else by leaving a comment. I'm always here to help you out. Take care and have a great rest of the week!
This answer like so many on this site is completely useless. They want to update ALL the memorized transactions at once. This can be done in the online version but Intuit refuses to fix this obvious flaw in desktop versions.
