Mobile deposit of checks

Hi there, jason188. I'd be glad to share some information about the eligibility criteria for using a mobile check deposit.

To use this feature, you'll have to sign up for QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Checking or QuickBooks Money. Upon approval, you can start depositing checks without visiting a bank. It provides a convenient method while simultaneously managing your financial records.

Also, please note that this isn't available to all customers. Your QuickBooks Checking and Money by QuickBooks account should be in good standing and active to be eligible. Also, the checks must be under your name, endorsed by you, and drawn on a bank account in the US territory. Once these criteria are met, you'll now be able to deposit both business and personal checks.

You can read through this article for more details: Find out more about mobile check deposits.

When you're ready to deposit the check, you can begin by entering the details. Here's how:

  1. While signing in to the QuickBooks app from a mobile device, go to your Cash Flow screen.
  2. From QuickBooks Checking balance, tap Send Money.
  3. Hit Deposit checks. If you don't see this option, it means your account isn't eligible yet.
  4. Enter the check amount. Confirm it isn't more than your limit shown on the screen.

Next, you can endorse your check:

  1. Sign the back of your check and write For mobile deposit only under the signature.
  2. Take photos of its front and back sides in a well-lit environment and on a dark-colored surface. Be sure to capture all four corners of your check and all the details.

Once the endorsement is complete, you can submit it:

  1. Review the check amount and confirm your images are clear. Retake photos if necessary.
  2. Take note of the date funds will be available.
  3. Select Finish depositing.
