Buy nowHi @deanlofall,
I'm glad to see you dropping by here in the Community space. Let me help you with your concern about emailing invoicing in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
There are several possible reasons why some customers don't receive emailed invoices. It may be possible that they need to configure the email settings or check the spam folder section.
Also, the option to get a direct link for a specific invoice is unavailable in the Self-Employed version. As a workaround, export the transaction as a PDF to acquire a copy you can email to them manually.
Here's how:
When you create your first invoice, enter your business info. You can enter your business name, email address, website, and location so your customers can see them when you send invoices. For more information, I've attached this link: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Please know I'm just a post away if you have other questions about your invoices or customer payments. The Community is always available to lend a hand. Take care.
Thank you for the response. More than half of my invoices are either filtered by the mail provider or end up in the junk folder. This is not a professional image.
it isn’t reasonable to suggest to a customer that they change spam filter settings. Most of my customers are seniors, who barely know what to do to find Quickbooks emails in the junk folder.
PDF attachments also trigger spam filters, causing me to move away from them for my estimates. so this isn’t a good solution. Besides, a big reason I use this service is for the invoicing and payment processing. Emailing PDFs removes this option for my customers.
I really need a clean way to send my customers a link to the QBSE invoice if the service fails to deliver it them.
Thank you for joining this thread, NWsaw.
Allow me to share an idea on how you can send invoices via text message in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
The workaround given by my colleague above @AlcaeusF, should work. If not, you can alternatively forward the invoices to your email and manually copy the links to send them via SMS.
Here's how:
Once you receive the invoice, copy the link and send it to your customer through SMS.
