My bank is connected to QBO. However, when I add an expense manually, the expense doesn't show up under the Dashboard. Some expenses show up and some are missing?

Hello, @owaismohebi1.

Let's customise the list of your expenses in the Expense Transaction dashboard. This way you can locate your manually added transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Expenses menu.
  2. Choose the Expenses tab.
  3. Select the Filter drop-down.
  4. Pick the type of transaction you're looking for from the Type drop-down.
  5. Set the Date Range on when you entered the transaction.
  6. Click the Apply button.

You can also view your Audit log to see if there were changes made on the expense transactions you've entered.

On the other hand, here are some articles to help you in managing your transactions in QuickBooks:

Even when I filter the date range, the expenses I entered still don't show up.

Thanks for going through the steps shared by my colleague above, @ktfelts.

Let’s try opening your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account on a private window (incognito) and check your expenses from there. This way, we can verify if the issue you’re having is caused by stored cache files.

Browsers save data cache to swiftly load the page faster on your next visit. When piled up, this causes issues and affects the views and performance of your account.

Using a private window doesn’t save any cache files. Thus, this method can help us verify the issue easily. To start, here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use in opening a private window:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you’re able to view your expenses, I’d suggest clearing your regular browser's cache. This will delete all saved data files from your browser and start with a clean slate. If the issue persists, try using other supported browsers. That way, we can see if this is a browser-integrated issue.

When everything is all set, you might want to check these links on how to categorize your transactions and reconcile your accounts:
