Welcome to the Community, @mariestaub2. I'd be happy to help you with turning off this feature.

 

Here's how to stop credits from automatically being applied in QuickBooks Online (QBO):

 

  1. Select the Gear icon.
  2. Click Account and Settings.
  3. Choose Advanced on the left.
  4. Select the Pencil icon in the Automation section.
  5. Remove the check-mark next to Automatically apply credits.
  6. Click Save.
