Let's check why the invoice isn't showing as paid in QuickBooks Online, geoff16.

The only time that the invoice will show as paid is when the payment is debited on your real-bank account. You can check the status of the payment within QuickBooks. Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Sales menu and select the Deposits tab.
  3. Select the bank deposit you want to review.

You'll see each payment that's part of the daily deposit. It also shows related processing fees as separate transactions.

If there's an issue with the payment, it won't show up in a daily deposit, and you'll receive an email about it. Check your email settings if you don't see any messages from us.

Also, deposit speeds depend on the product you're using and the type of payment. You can check your deposit speed from QuickBooks.

Here's how :

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

If you see a Learn more link, you can apply for next-day payments.

One the payment is cleared from your bank, the invoice will show as paid. All you need to do is deposit to your bank register in QuickBooks.

Keep me posted if there's anything else I can help you with today about the customer's payment. I'll be right here to help you.
