Currently, there isn't an option to accept invoice payments through international banks in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Whether it's via credit card or ACH transaction, the system won't accept foreign bank information and will display a zip code error. However, you may let your customer use PayPal or other supported third-party apps to pay their invoice.
To select the right app for receiving international payments, I'd recommend visiting this page: The QuickBooks Apps. It contains the complete list of supported QBO apps for receiving payments.
Also, to keep you updated on the latest news, product features, and system upgrades, you can check out our blog: The QuickBooks Blog.
In the meantime, I'm also adding this article to further guide you in processing an ACH bank transfer for your customer’s invoice in QBO: Process an ACH bank transfer from a customer.

The system will not accept foreign bank information and will display a zip code error.
If you want to accept payments from your Australian customer, you will need to use a third-party payment app that supports international payments. Some popular options include PayPal, Stripe, and Square.
Here are some of the third-party payment apps that support international payments:
Once you have chosen a third-party payment app, you will need to add your customer's payment information to the app. Once the payment information is added, your customer will be able to pay their invoice using the app.
