Navigation when Reconciling and Views

I used 2014 pc last, now I've migrated to 2019 Mac OS.

When reconciling I used to just hit enter and it would select the check or deposit and advance to the next item.

I found I use spacebar and it does select the item, but does not advance to the next. this now requires an extra keystroke. is there possibly a faster way?

Also the windows for check and deposits were side by side in windows and now one above the other. the side by side allows more of the check s or deposits visible at one time due to wide monitors. Can I change this view somewhere?

Thanks, Steve

Re: Navigation when Reconciling and Views

It's nice to see you again in the Community, @smittylube.

I'm here to help share some information about navigating the reconciliation page and changing the view screen for check and deposits.

When selecting an item on the reconciliation screen, you'll need to use the arrow for the keystroke when moving. This is how it works with QB Mac 2019.

You can refer to this article for more information about other keyboard shortcuts for Mac: QuickBooks Desktop keyboard shortcuts.

As for the check and deposits windows, if you need to view it side by side, you can drag the window to transfer. Then you can resize it by clicking your mouse on the sides and dragging it according to your preferred size.

If you need help with the navigation, you can reach out to our QuickBooks Mac specialist so they can guide using the screen share tool.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
  3. On the Contact Us page, click a topic.
  4. Click on the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

Should you have other questions about the display settings, please let me know. I'll be here to help.
