Hey, all!
I have a bit of an issue, in that I need to be able to run a report showing the products that we are currently have a back order amount in (on hand stock - quantity on sales orders). I can find it by digging through the "inventory stock status by item" report but my Customer Care has just been tasked to track product status any time we process orders for a specific customer, which happens several times a week.
It seems like there has to be a better way to manage this.
Run the Inventory Valuation Detail (IVD) report
Select Reports>Inventory>Inventory Valuation Detail.
Click the Dates drop-down and select All.
Find all occurrences of negative amounts in the On Hand column.
Ideally, I would like a report to show only the items that we are currently negative in.
Basically, I want a report for the items that we should get a pop-up message for saying that we are currently overdrawn on that item, especially as those pop-ups are only intermittently working for us.
We have thousands of individual items in our inventory list, so digging through a full list to find the few that will show up on an order is not going to be a workable solution for us. Even limiting it to just the possible items available to this particular customer leaves several hundred to dig through.
Open your Inventory Center and in blue there is an option that says Negative Inventory Listing. This will show you all your negative items.
Hope this helps.
