Yes, you'll need to create a new bank account in the Chart of Accounts. This way, there will be documented transfers of funds within QuickBooks.
Here's how:
- Go to the Lists menu, then choose Chart of Accounts.
- From the Account ▼dropdown, click New.
- Choose an account type, then click Continue.
- Complete the account details.
- Once done, select Save & Close.

Then, you can transfer the funds from the old to the new account.
