No bills are showing when I select New>Pay Bills. Something wrong with QBO? I have plenty of bills I need to pay for vendors.

This morning, I select New>Pay Bills and it's not giving me the options to filter my vendors so I can start entering amounts to create a bill payment line item. I need to do this because I need to match it to a $1K bank withdrawal. Is there something wrong with QBO? I don't see an option to attach screen shot, but I'm getting: "Looks like you don't have any bills to pay."...which is false.

Let me help ensure your bills are showing and have those payments recorded, accounting-lixok.

At times, the collected cache files on your browser may lead to unexpected behavior like the one that you've experienced upon utilizing the program.

To get this issue sorted out, as an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. If you're still getting the same result, I recommend accessing your account in a private window.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P.
  • Safari: press Command Shift N.

Once signed in, go back to your Pay Bills window and see if the transactions are showing. If it rectifies the issue, go back to your main browser and clear its cache to remove the portal's history. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

For your reference, check this out: Enter bills and record bill payments in QuickBooks Online. This will give you steps on how to pay them using credits or a check. Also, you'll find a link on how to print checks in QuickBooks.

I want to make sure you're able to pay your bills so please let me know how it goes. I'm always ready to assist if you need further guidance. Have a great rest of your day!

I'm having a similar issue and opening in a private window did not solve this issue.

We appreciate you for performing my colleague's suggested troubleshooting and notifying us about your similar experience when paying bills in QuickBooks Online, hannah_k. Allow me to share some information about it and a workaround for this.

Currently, there's an ongoing investigation (INV-87180) regarding the problem you encounter. Rest assured that our product developers are already aware of this and are doing their best to resolve it as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can open the bill and manually make a payment. I'll show you how:

1. Open the Expenses menu and go to the Bills tab.

2. Navigate to the Unpaid section.

3. Locate the bill you want to pay.

4. Click on the Action drop-down and select View/edit bill

5. Hit the Mark as paid button.

6. Enter the payment amount.

7. Once done, click on Save and close.

Furthermore, I advise contacting our Customer Support team so they can add your account to the list of affected users. You'll also receive an email notification about the progress of the case.

I'm also adding the following modules to learn more about how to handle and keep track of bills and payments:

Let me know in the comment section below if you have other concerns with this topic or QBO in particular. I'll be around to help. Keep safe.
