Thanks for sharing detailed information on what you've experienced when previewing your invoices.
It could be that you're experiencing a browser-related problem which causing this to happen. QuickBooks uses a browser cache for a faster loading experience. However, this may cause some unexpected behavior when it gets full.
To confirm, let's open QuickBooks using incognito or private mode. Here's how:
Check to see if the error is gone. If it did, go back to the main browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. Otherwise, use other supported, up-to-date browsers.
Here's a great article that provides detailed information in personalizing your invoice: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have other concerns with your invoices. I'll be here to assist.
Thank you for your response, but unfortunately the error persists. I tried private mode, I tried deleting the cache and cookies, and my browser is updated beyond the recommended version, yet the line order of my invoices still does not correctly translate over to the preview/final draft unless only one date is used on the first line, or unless every single line is dated. Very frustrating. And I do know for sure that it wasn't doing this at first, because the first invoice I created and sent prior to this error occurring still views correctly. I have no idea what's changed or why the other invoices can't seem to load the same way.
It is even previewing incorrectly when I try it on the app. Anyone else having issues with this?
Hi there, userloneslandscaping.
I appreciate that you followed the recommended steps provided by my colleague to fix the issue. For now, we haven't received any reports about previewing an invoice with multiple line items under separate dates showing incorrectly.
Since the issue persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to check your account to investigate the cause of why invoice preview appears inaccurately.
Here's how to contact them:
You can browse this article to learn more about the different types of support we offer at Intuit and its availability: Support hours and types.
Please refer to this article to see steps on how you can email or print more than one invoice by batch: How to email or print an invoice.
Keep me posted about this or if there's anything else I can help you with. I'd be happy to offer further assistance. Have a good one.
Thank you for your response, I have also gone that route and have spent HOURS now typing my issue over and over after getting disconnected on there end multiple times after they connect to view my screen and try changing all kinds of settings to no avail... I'm finally giving up for the night and hoping for a follow-up on this later, I've been told the issue has been escalated so we will see! Thanks again.
