On my invoices the columns used to print correctly. now the words "amount" and "activity" overfill the column How can I reset the columns? Why would they have changed?

Why is QB so expensive and so difficult to work with?  Why is limited customer support?  Why do I have to waste time troubleshooting printer issues?

I have managed to replicate this on the Test Drive company and was able to print the invoice correctly. Based on the affected columns, it's possible that the print function modules are affected by outdated cache files, which can slow down and affect QuickBooks functionalities.

 

To resolve this, we could try printing your invoices using a private browser, here's how to open it:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N  
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

You may also check the dimensions of the invoice template and reset it to make sure no other columns would overfill. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Find the invoice template, then click the Edit hyperlink.
  4. Go to the Content tab.
  5. On the right side, click the middle section of the invoice preview.
  6. Select Edit Labels and Widths.
  7. Make the necessary adjustments, then hit Done.
