As of now, we don't have an option to add/ show the item description on invoice reports in QuickBooks Desktop. If you think the option of adding/showing the item description is what you need for your business, I suggest sending this idea straight to our product engineers to be considered in the future.
I’ll make sure to take note and share this preference with our developers for future updates as well.
