Overdue Reports - Custom Columns - Item and Item Description Not Appearing

We ran a standard overdue report that lists client, invoice number, due date, amount due, and amount paid.  We want to customize the columns to add ITEM and ITEM DESCRIPTION.  They appear in the report, but all data is blank.

We would like the ITEM with our codes and ITEM DESCRIPTION to appear in reports for easy viewing of what is overdue.  Please advise why this custom column does not work.

Overdue Reports - Custom Columns - Item and Item Description Not Appearing

Hello there, peteboyd.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm here to help and provide some insights about the Overdue Reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

The closest report you can run that will show the number of days past due is the A/P Aging Detail report. However, you'll need to double-click each transaction in order for the complete details for your Item and their description to appear.

I can see how this feature would be helpful for you, I encourage you to send feedback directly to our product developers for future updates.

Here's how you send feedback:

Overdue Reports - Custom Columns - Item and Item Description Not Appearing

Thank you for your reply.  We will send the feedback, but realistically this should just work.  The Custom columns is a bug.

The data is in the system.  The report offers ITEM and ITEM DESCRIPTION as a custom columns to choose from.  It should simply show the data on selection (or remove them as selection items).  Somewhere in the code base, the data is not pulling into the report.  It should be fixed.

We should not have to click on each invoice to see the item and description.  The report should generate into a Excel/CSV so we can review and showcase offline. Double clicking on 100 invoices is tedious and ultimately, will not help.

Again, thanks for your reply.  We will submit product feedback.  I doubt it will make a difference though.

Overdue Reports - Custom Columns - Item and Item Description Not Appearing

I am having the same issue.  I need to pull a report that shows the ACTUAL description in the item description, NOT the same description as on the Item List.  There has to be a way to pull this data!
