P&L Missing an expense for one month but not the other

Hello.....I use QB Premier 2021, and when pulling a P&L for January and February on a cash basis, January is missing my salary expense. I post every payroll with a G/L entry every two weeks. Both entries in January are posted to the same accounts that I posted to in February. When I run the report on an accural basis, the expense shows for both months. It is only during the cash basis report that one month shows and the other does not.

I have checked everything, and verified the data and ran a rebuild. Still shows the same after 2 hours of research.

Firstly, I appreciate the research and the troubleshooting steps you've performed to show the missing salary expenses on your Profit and Loss report for the month of January.

One of the possible reasons why there are missing entries or lists is that your company file is damaged. Since the Verify and Rebuild Data tool doesn't work, let's run the QuickBooks File Doctor to perform a mini repair of your company file. Here's how:

Download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub.
Open the installed QuickBooks Tool Hub, then select Company File Issues.
Click Quick Fix my File.
Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the drop-down menu.
Choose Check your file, then Continue.
Enter your QuickBooks admin password and select Next.
Wait until the scan finish.
Then, open your QuickBooks file and review the salary expenses again on your Profit and Loss report.
