Payroll checks were posted to wrong cash account. How do I change checks to correct cash account?

You can use the Journal Entry feature to change the bank account from your previous payroll transactions. To successfully post payroll to the right accounts, I recommend reaching out to an accountant for expert advice.

Also, let's correct the account selected from the Payroll Settings section to ensure the paychecks you're creating are correct moving forward.

Here are the steps:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Under Your Company, select Payroll Settings.
3. Go to the Preferences tab.
4. Hit Accounting Preferences.
5. Next to Bank Account, choose the correct cash account.
