How to setup 'Custom price'?

I want to implement the following behavior, but have had no luck so far.

If a customer has setting that tells the POS to use PriceA (a discounted price) instead of the Regular Price and

if an item has both a Regular Price and a PriceA, then, when that customer is selected, only show, and use, PriceA.

If other items, that the customer wants to purchase, do not have a PriceA, then the POS will use the item's Regular Price.

Is this doable?

POS Supports Price Levels, not per customer pricing. So if Price Level 2 has PriceA (the discount) for the item you have in mind and a customer is set to that price level it will sell it to them at that discounted price.
However prices for all other items must have their price ,at Level 2, set to the desired price you want to sell those items to that group of customers, This may or may not be the same value as your regular price.

Let me share some information about price rules, gcampbel0.

At this time, you can set up a separate item for each price per states to record the different retail price for one item per store location.

However, if the Price Level was edited through the Company Preferences, those changes will only be applied to new items.

To set the price levels, I'd recommend going through the Price Manager and select Make Price Changes, from there you can select the Price Level.

I also suggest contacting QuickBooks Point of Sales Support Team. They'll further check for other options on how to have a different retail price for one item. You can click this link to reach out to them: https://community.intuit.com/browse/payments-contact-us.

Let me know on how it goes and if there's anything else that I can help by leaving a comment below. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a great rest of the day.
