Join nowI have many products that I both buy and sell where the price is calculated per pound. The per pound price changes often and I would like to have a way make the prices on transactions change appropriately.
Right now I have a price in my item list and have to change each item when the per pound price changes. I would like to be able just to specify the weight, and have QB calculate the price. That way, a price change will involve only one entry rather than many.
Is there any way to do this?
Hello there, @byomtov.
In QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, we're unable to auto-calculate the price. Yes, you're right, the best way to handle this is to indicate a price in your item list. Take note that you'll have to manually change each item when the per-pound prices change as well.
I've added this link about managing your items in QuickBooks for Mac: Add, edit, and delete items.
Please know that you can always count on me if you have other questions. I'm just around to help. Take care.
Consider to use QB Desktop Premier for your case and utilize Parallels to run it on your Mac. Another option, deploy a private cloud to run QB Desktop Premier in your environment.
Hi, @byomtov.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about calculating the price you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
