Problem with printing updated vendor address on checks after the vendor file has been updated with new address.

Hello, mcptreasurer1-gm.

QuickBooks is depending on the information entered on the field. I tested this myself in my test drive account and upon printing a vendor checks, their address displayed.

Since printing your check isn't autofilling vendor addresses when printing it, I'd recommend checking your browser. It's possible this could have something to do with temporary internet files.

Browsing applications store these types of records, but sometimes they can cause issues with certain webpages. You can open a private window and check to see if it's working.

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If its work while browsing privately, it's safe to say this problem's being caused by your browser. It can be fixed by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

I've additionally included a detailed resource about system requirements that may come in handy moving forward: System requirements for QuickBooks Online

If there's anything else I can help you with, please add them in a comment below. I'll be around to help. Stay safe!

Thanks for your response. This browser solution is what QuickBooks customer service pitched to me. From my perspective, if QuickBooks is linking this process to browser functionality, they are going about it the wrong way. This is a programming issue - and the solution ought to be that QuickBooks fix their programming. I never had a problem like this when using QuickBooks Desktop (15 years). I know that there are differences between Desktop and Online (I took courses on both last summer and obtained certification in both).

The browser solution may work, but it seems that I would constantly have to clear the browser - each time I make a change to a vendor's mailing address. That is a band-aid approach, not a real fix. That's why I believe that QuickBooks needs to fix this issue from the programming end.

Sincerely
