profit and loss detail report

Thanks for being here, @Russell56 in the Community forum. I'd be happy to assist in providing the processes for pulling up the Profit and Loss Detail report in QuickBooks.

Financial reports provide you with pictures of several aspects of your company. All users of QuickBooks Online have access to the majority of reports. However, some are exclusively accessible with specific levels of subscription.

Finding the Profit and Loss report is quick and easy. You'll want to go to the Reports menu and use the Find Report by name search bar to search for reports by name. You can also browse the list.

Here's how:

  1. On the left of your QuickBooks Online (QBO), click Reports.
  2. Select the Profit and Loss Detail report under the Business Overview section.
  3. Modify the reporting period to a specific month.
  4. Click Run report.

From there, you can print, email, and export reports and send them to your accountant. For more details, open this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

However, please note that the Profit and Loss Detail report is only available in QuickBooks EssentialsPlus, and Advanced users. If your account is QuickBooks Online Simple Start, this report is not accessible to you. Other profit and loss reports that are included with your subscription may be run. To know the reports included in your subscription, see this article: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

If you want to upgrade your subscription to have this report, check this article as your reference for the detailed process: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

You can visit this article to know how to get the most out of your financial reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Kindly hit the Reply button to send an inquiry if you have any additional queries with running reports or anything else. I'm here and willing to help more. Continue to have a good day.
