Profit and loss reports showing ALL accounts

I have rental property and I manage property. I have payments on my property. I apologize if there is an obvious answer to my question but I'm short on sleep and can't take searching anymore...

I would like to run a profit and loss that includes the loan payments and security deposit on a rental property (set up as classes). Possibly even the asset value...that may be unnecessary.  I can't seem to get the right parameters to make this happen. I have customized the report to show ALL ACCOUNTS but those are not there even though a class has been entered.

This is strictly for internal purposes...the boss wants to know if we have covered the properties overhead with the rent. Anything I can do to make the information available quickly and plainly is appreciated.

Thank you for sharing to us the steps you’ve performed to get the data you need.

Running the Summary Report will show the line profitability of jobs, items, or classes. You can use this report to create customized income statements that show the profitability which is similar to a standard profit and loss report.

Let me guide you through the process of opening it. Here’s how:

  1. In your company file, choose the Reports tab.
  2. Select Custom Reports and pick Summary.

  3. Click on the Customize Report tab to tailor it.

  4. Go to the Display tab and select what information you want to appear by columns and rows.

  5. On the Filters tab, choose the specific accounts to display on the report.
  6. Once done, click on OK.

After following these steps, you’ll now be able to see the accounts and class on one report.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about customizing reports. I’ll jump right back in to assist further.
