Pull Deposits with No Attachment

Is there a way to pull deposits with no attachments?

I know I can do this for expenditures by going to EXPENDITURES > EXPENDITURES > GEAR ICON > ADD ATTACHMENT COLUMN > FILTER BY ATTACHMENT SO THAT NO ATTACHMENTS ARE FIRST.

I am required to include a receipt for all expenses and support for all deposits. I can easily do a month end review for missing receipts on expenses, but would love to be able to do the same for deposits. Does anyone have any tips on how to accomplish this?

Pull Deposits with No Attachment

Hello, @Emely12703.

Yes, I can definitely assist you in pulling out deposits with no attachments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To do this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account and click on View register under the Action column.
  3. Click on the Gear icon and make sure to put a checkmark on the Attachments button.

However, pulling out deposits without attachments in one view isn't applicable. You'll have to manually click on the transaction and see if there is an attachment linked to the deposit.

Additionally, I've also included an article that'll help you review downloaded bank and credit card transactions and put them in the correct accounts: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooksOnline.

Drop a reply anytime if you still have questions or concerns with regard to accessing data in QBO. I'll be here to assist you further. Take care and have a nice day ahead.

Pull Deposits with No Attachment

Is this possible yet for Enterprise Desktop...It would be very helpful to run a report that would tell me what transactions have no attachments.

Pull Deposits with No Attachment

Thanks for getting involved with this thread, b_mclean.

I can certainly understand how an ability to pull deposits without attachments and run a report showing which transactions don't have attachments could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....

  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from your available drop-down menus.

  3. Enter any suggestions/feedback in the Here is my suggestion: field.

  4. If you'd like, include your name/email in the My name is: (optional) and My e-mail address is: (optional) fields.

  5. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

You also have the option of checking our QuickBooks App Store for apps which may be able to help you achieve what you're looking to do.

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a great Wednesday!
